Obadiah 1:9

In the prophecy Esau stands for unbelievers, set over against Jacob who stands for believers. The dismay falling on the strong men of Teman and the complete removal of those belonging to Esau's mountain therefore foretell the fate of unbelief in contrast with the standing of God's people. This reckoning belongs to the closing conflict that comes just before Christ's return.
