Paul placed his trust in the Lord Jesus as he made his plan to send Timothy to the Philippians. The sending was to take place shortly, with Timothy dispatched soon to visit them. Its purpose was that Timothy might learn and report the condition of the believers at Philippi. By receiving that news Paul himself would be given good comfort.
