Proverbs 11:26

He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.

To hold back grain invites the curse of the people, while to release it for sale draws blessing down upon the head of the one who sells. The curse falls because need is left unmet when supply is withheld, and the blessing rests because want is supplied when provision is made available. Wealth and material goods are entrusted by God to be used in service to others rather than retained for self. To hoard or withhold what ought to relieve others brings condemnation, while to give freely and place resources within reach brings blessing.
