In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.
Diligent labor in all things produces profit and benefit. Mere talk of the lips without accompanying work tends only to penury and poverty. The principle is practical guidance for success in legitimate business. Applied to useful physical work, time spent laboring in Christ's service brings God's blessing, while time given to excessive amusement does not bring the same benefit.
