Proverbs 20:13

Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.

Loving sleep and idleness leads to poverty. Opening the eyes and waking to purposeful work, diligence and alertness brings enough bread, satisfaction and provision for a living. Getting up and working supplies the food needed to make a living.

The same holds in physical, mental and spiritual life. Neglect and inactivity there produce want and weakness. Useful effort brings strength and provision.
