Proverbs 21:3

To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice, and no religious observance alone can take the place of righteous conduct. Right and just action matters more to Him than offering sacrifice, for outward religion without right doing does not honor Him. Self-righteousness that leaves sinners without help fails before Him, because justice includes showing mercy to help sinners rather than abandoning them in darkness.

Those who reject sinners thereby show that they themselves are unconverted. Indeed the very sinners they condemn may enter the kingdom of God before them. Those who keep the Lord's way by doing justice and judgment may expect Him to prosper them. But turning from that way brings ruin upon themselves and upon those who follow their guidance.

The requirement is to use one's abilities to keep God's way by doing justice and judgment, whether the work at hand calls for correcting wrong or for restoring and building up. No human plans that gratify selfishness can replace this obedience, nor can any plans that lead away from fidelity to God's commandments. Parents are to teach their children to practice justice and judgment, doing what is right and fair, and are not to allow them to choose a wrong course.

A responsible physician fulfills this by using the understanding and knowledge God has given him to do justice and judgment. In an institution that represents truth in contrast with error he is to show the true missionary spirit. Physicians must follow the Lord's way by doing what is just and right. Neglecting duty to God to follow Satan's suggestions leads them away from that way.
