The rich and poor meet together: the LORDis the maker of them all.
The rich and the poor meet together on level ground before God because the Lord is the maker of them all. Wealth on one side and poverty on the other create no difference in standing when both come before Him who gave life to each. Rank does not add worth to one life nor take worth from another, for all lives have their value from the same Maker. The invitation to come to God is therefore open alike to rich and poor, with neither wealth nor rank opening or closing the way.
