Proverbs 22:24

Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:

The command is to form no friendship with a person given to anger and to avoid going about with one who is furious. The reason is that close companionship tends to teach the companion those same angry ways, and those learned ways become a trap for the inner life. Such instruction is knowledge provided in order that confidence may rest in the Lord. Applied to practical life, this means declining a business partnership with someone who yields to fits of temper, since that tie would pull the other party into the same peril.
