Proverbs 24:21

My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:

Fearing the Lord and the king belongs together with keeping clear of companions who are given to change. To be given to change is to abandon a work when it grows demanding or discouraging, or to leave it for something that looks more promising. Such instability can keep a person from succeeding in work that he might otherwise do well. The restless urge to leave must be subdued by Christ's grace, so that a person continues faithfully unless God calls for a change.

Changeableness is the character of man, not of God, who governs by settled principles in His moral government. The Sabbath was one of those first principles of that moral government. To claim that God abolished His constitution of first principles to establish a new one leaving out the Sabbath and freeing men from the fourth commandment makes the Infinite Jehovah as changeable as man, as though God were altogether like men.
