A Sparrow Beside a Man Leaving His Homeby CBPepper

Proverbs 27:8

As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place.

Proverbs 27:8 stands in chapters 25 to 29, which were copied out of Solomon's writings by men appointed by Hezekiah.

The verse likens a man who wanders from his place to a bird that wanders from her nest. To be away from one's proper place is to leave the security that belongs to oneself. It is also to leave the setting suited to oneself.
