Proverbs 29:13

The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lighteneth both their eyes.

The verse belongs to the collection of Solomon's proverbs found in chapters 25 to 29, which were copied out by men appointed in Hezekiah's time. That gathering of the collection took place in Hezekiah's time, about three hundred years after Solomon. The poor and the deceitful meet on common ground, for both stand alike under the Lord's care in that he gives light to the eyes of each.
