Proverbs 30:26

The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;

The saying belongs to the words of Agur, a division reckoned to be of later date. The conies are small and feeble creatures, without strength of their own. Despite that frailty they secure themselves by making their houses in the rocks, with the mountains furnishing them refuge.

Their habit shows how weak and helpless people may make the Rock of Ages their refuge, hiding place, and strong defense.
