The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;
The locusts have no king to direct them, yet they go forth together all of them in ordered bands. They stand among the small creatures from nature used to illustrate wisdom, and their moving together in bands despite having no king is presented as an example of that wisdom.
Their cooperation in going out together illustrates the unity, harmony, and shared purpose that should characterize God's people.
