Proverbs 31:25

Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

To be clothed with strength and honour is to be thoroughly fitted for household life. Strength is built by useful physical work in kitchen and garden, including washing, sweeping, dusting, and other domestic labor, begun in childhood with a regular share of duties at nine or ten years old. Honour is gained by knowing how to cut, make, and mend clothing and to prepare food in a wholesome and palatable manner, and by understanding the human body and the principles of hygiene, diet, dress, labor and recreation, including the best methods of treating disease. A woman so trained is fitted to become wife and mother and to preside as queen in her own domain, competent to guide and instruct her children and to direct servants, and able if needed to minister with her own hands to the needs of her household and to care for her children in sickness instead of leaving them to strangers.

She faces the future with confidence and rejoices in time to come in a well-regulated, healthy, and happy family. That same ideal is seen in a cheerful, capable woman who makes time for learning, family, faith, and a positive influence on those around her.
