Proverbs 6:14

Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.

Frowardness is crookedness seated in the heart, a perverse inward bent away from uprightness. From that condition comes continual devising of harm, not an occasional fault but a settled habit of planning mischief. The same heart sows discord, scattering dissension and strife among others. Those who spread dissension and strife draw deadly consequences upon their own souls, reaping ruin inwardly even as they trouble others outwardly. Tale-bearing and suspecting evil make a person miserable, destroying true happiness and leaving no rest of mind.
