Proverbs 6:26

The verse stands among the warnings in the opening seven chapters that urge heeding instruction and choosing the path of wisdom. Turning from that instruction brings spiritual disease and death, so a life ruined by sin is the consequence of breaking God's laws. The word rendered life is the Hebrew nephesh, which can also be rendered soul.
