He was present with God, the Sovereign of the universe, when the heavens were prepared and when a compass or boundary was set upon the face of the deep. That presence at those acts of preparing and setting places Him before the creation of the world. It shows He was set up from everlasting in eternal pre-existence.
He was one with the eternal Father and God in nature, in character and in purpose, in close fellowship and oneness with Him. As associate and co-worker He could appreciate God's purposes and share His joy in giving happiness to created beings. He was the only being able to enter into all the counsels and purposes of God, by Him as one brought up with Him, daily His delight and rejoicing always before Him.
The passage presents true wisdom. True faith takes in the whole man. It lifts the soul out of an imperfect, undeveloped state to understand that wisdom.
