Psalms 100:5

For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

The Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. His truth enduring means His faithfulness continues on through every generation. That goodness means He is gracious, full of pity and loving-kindness.

Because He is good and His mercy and truth last, He is to be thanked and praised. In the setting of these truths, they call for serving God with gladness and coming before Him with thanksgiving and praise. For families, they supply simple grounds for gratitude and praise to God.

These lasting qualities also give reason to bless His name. His goodness and unfailing mercy are grounds for blessing Him. His goodness calls for grateful hearts.

His goodness and worthiness give reason to trust Him, to praise His holy name, and to hope in Him with confidence that He will help in every emergency. His goodness calls for praise of His holy name and gives courage and hope. Since His goodness calls for praise, questions about one's condition should be answered with praise rather than complaint, and words should be cheerful and hopeful so that they glorify God.
