Psalms 102:26
They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
The created heavens and the earth grow old like a garment and are changed, wearing out like clothing. The earth itself is wearing out like old clothes, and its mountains and hills are changing and decaying. In contrast to this wearing creation, God endures unchanged and His years do not fail. Therefore His blessing and care for His people never ends and never ceases.
God spreads a table for His people even in the wilderness. Land cultivated with His blessing will still supply human necessities. The earth still holds rich stores and treasures for the faithful worker to gather, stores richer than gold or silver. The charge that nature is stingy is false witness, and proper intelligent cultivation will make the earth yield its treasures for man's benefit.
Because this enduring care continues, people are to look heavenward in faith. There is no cause for discouragement about temporal things from apparent failure, nor reason to be disheartened by delay. Instead they are to work the soil cheerfully, hopefully and gratefully, believing rich stores remain for the faithful worker.
