Golden Eagle Rising Above the Cloudsby emmanuel_higgins

Psalms 103:5

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The verse is praise and thanksgiving that blesses the Lord for all His benefits. It teaches that the heavenly Father is attentive to the wants of those who seek Him and satisfies them with good things. He renews youth like the eagle's, which is renewed strength and vigor.

The restored strength and full vigor of the paralytic illustrates this renewal and prompts thanksgiving to God. The renewal is inward, so that even amid weakness and pain God by His grace can make the heart feel young, the spirit cheerful, and the person thankful. The verse calls for keeping the mind stayed upon God, seeking His Holy Spirit to rest upon the life, honoring the Lord daily, and gaining a deeper sense of His grace that shows itself in humble searching of heart and in righteous works.
