Psalms 105:11

Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

Psalm 105:11 belongs to the recorded history and account of Israel's experience. That experience included being under the cloud and passing through the sea, being baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea, eating the same spiritual meat and drinking the same spiritual drink from the spiritual Rock that followed them, which was Christ, while with many of them God was not well pleased and they were overthrown in the wilderness. The verse declares God's promise to give Canaan to Israel as its inherited land.

It presents Canaan as the inheritance promised in His everlasting covenant, made with Abraham, sworn to Isaac, and confirmed to Jacob and Israel. The promise was given when they were few in number and living as sojourners. The psalm's words are to be taken into personal experience as assurance of God's help and faithfulness. Studying that history helps people appreciate God's goodness, mercy, and love.

The account of Israel's experience serves as a warning lesson and example for God's people in the last days. It is to be studied alongside Psalm 106. God's people in the last days especially need to study these chapters by reading them at least once every week.
