Phinehas Stands With a Javelin as Israel Weepsby emmanuel_higgins

Psalms 106:30

Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and so the plague was stayed.

The verse belongs to the record of Israel's experience in the wilderness and in Israel's history, which contains warning lessons for God's people in the last days and needs to be studied regularly.
Phinehas stood up to judge the wrongdoing connected with Baal-peor.
By that action the plague was brought to an end.

The verse belongs with Psalms 105, 106, and 107.
Those psalms are for all who claim to be children of God.
Together they show the necessity of appreciating the goodness, mercy, and love of God.
