Psalms 106:48

Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.

Psalm 106:48 belongs to the recorded history of Israel and is among the psalms that invite careful reflection on God's goodness, mercy, and love. It closes the account of Israel's rebellion and God's repeated deliverance by blessing the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting. This blessing follows the plea for God to save and gather His people so they can give thanks and rejoice in His praise.

The verse calls for praise in the congregation of God's people, with all the people answering together with Amen and praise to the LORD. The call for all the people to say Amen is a command to be obeyed whenever the word of the Lord is spoken. The people's fervent Amen response shows that they understand the words spoken and join in the worship of God. This response was given when the ark of the covenant was brought into the city of David with a psalm of joy and triumph, with all the people saying Amen and praising the LORD.
