O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
To have a fixed heart in this verse is to keep the heart fixed upon God. It is to look on the bright side of circumstances rather than on the dark side. It is to sing and give praise, to be of good courage, and to talk faith. It is to refuse to allow perplexities and clouds and trials to quench faith, for trials will continue as long as time lasts and Satan is at work to discourage.
