Psalms 111:1
Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.
Praise to the Lord is to be given with the whole heart in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation of the righteous. Singing this praise is the response to give when tempted to speak faultfinding against fellow believers.
Haughty and accusing words are never to come against other believers, but the mouth is to be kept filled with this praise. Pleasant speech filled with thanksgiving and praise glorifies God more than accusing words. Such pleasant speech is filled with thanksgiving and praise for God's tokens and blessings and for His blood-bought heritage.
This praise gives voice to love for God and declares His love, mercy, goodness, tokens, blessings, and blood-bought heritage. It is to be sincere, simple, earnest, thoughtful, and clear, flowing from a heart filled with love for Him. Those who know their vital connection with God are to praise Him among fellow believers and witness to Him everywhere, so that people may know He is the only true and living God.
