Psalms 112:8

His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

The promise is that God will bless those who are willing to give and to labor for the salvation of the world. That giving and laboring follows the pattern of Christ, who though He was the Majesty of heaven and King of Glory became poor. He accepted poverty so that through His poverty the poor might be made rich. The whole psalm is to be read slowly and solemnly and prayerfully, and considered for what it teaches about giving.
