Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
God is exalted above all, dwelling on high, yet He humbles Himself to behold what is in heaven and on earth. His greatness is beyond human understanding. Though so exalted, He is everywhere present by His Spirit. He knows all His works intimately and takes a personal interest in them. This attentive regard for all creation expresses both His greatness and His condescension.
