Psalms 115:12

The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.

The Lord being mindful and blessing His people is set forth as a holy song of praise voiced together by the congregation in declaration that He remembers them and will bestow blessing upon them. To be mindful in this sense means He is not a distant, cold and severe judge beyond human reach, but One full of mercy and truth. His remembrance carries a deep personal interest in every household, entering to help and to bless and to cheer and to strengthen. That mindful and blessing character is made visible in Jesus given to the world to represent the Father's love, as the only begotten Son, the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, whom faith can lay hold upon. The response called for is to believe in Him and to love Him and to trust Him.
