Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.
The psalm containing this plea for supplication to come before God and for deliverance according to His word exalts God's law and presents His Word as the guide for life. That same psalm is to be presented and read in a large assembly with an earnest voice. Its proclamation declares that the wickedness of the world has reached the point where the Lord will certainly interfere and arise to punish bold and defiant wickedness against His holy law. That proclamation also declares that God's forbearance is very great and marvelous in bearing long with continual insult to His holy commandments and continual increase of defiance against His laws.
