Psalms 119:171

My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.

The line stands within a psalm whose purpose is the exaltation of God's law. That psalm holds up God's Word as the rule of life. It lays out the principles of righteousness, and by them draws a clear line between right and wrong and between truth and error. The testimonies given to the church do not replace that standard but direct minds back to that Word.
