Psalms 119:92

Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

Psalm 119:92 belongs within a psalm whose whole burden is the exaltation of God's law. Its setting makes delight in that law the central theme, not a passing remark. That delight is a sustaining power that upholds a person in the midst of affliction. Without it as delight, affliction would bring destruction, but with it the sufferer is preserved from perishing.
