Psalms 132:8

Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.

The plea stands at the close of Solomon's prayer at the dedication of the temple, offered while he knelt with hands lifted toward heaven and the congregation bowed with faces to the ground. It calls upon the Lord to enter the newly built temple as His resting place, He Himself together with the ark of His strength. It further seeks that His eyes be open day and night upon the house where He has put His name, and that from His dwelling in heaven He would hear the prayers made toward that place and forgive.
