Psalms 140:7

O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.

The covering of the head in the day of battle is the guardian angel set to watch over a person's steps and to shield that life in moments of peril. That covering is not distant or general, but close and personal, with the angel attending the path and standing guard when danger threatens. What is now unseen will then be made plain, for in the future life the redeemed will be taught how that angelic ministry belonged to God's care for them. They will trace how divine interposition worked through the angel's watchfulness, turning aside perils and guiding their lives toward salvation.
