Psalms 141:1

LORD, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

Psalm 141:1 is the cry of a humble worshiper calling urgently and earnestly to the Lord. The speaker pleads for the Lord to hasten to him and to come quickly to his help. He asks God to give ear to his voice and to hear his prayer when he cries. The plea includes asking God to answer the cry. The verse stands as an example showing that humble and contrite prayer is precious to God and is never lost, with none of such prayer lost in His sight.
