Psalms 141:4

Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

The verse is a prayer for God to keep the heart from being inclined or drawn toward any evil thing and toward evil desires. It asks not to join with men who work iniquity in practicing wicked works and taking part in their practices. It asks also not to eat of their dainties, that is, not to accept the benefits they offer and their enticing pleasures.

It is the prayer for those who serve on councils and committees and sit in council and committee work and meetings, that God would guard them from evil motives and actions and keep motives and actions from wrongdoing, giving pure motives and protection from wrongdoing. Those who pray it do so remembering they must answer to God for their motives. They pray it aware they are accountable to God for both time and eternity.
