Psalms 144:2
My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
The verse is praise to the Lord for His mercies and His goodness that knows no bound. It is a call to praise God that lays bare the failure to render Him praise. It presses for an awakening to a conscious, realizing sense of His goodness.
