All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.
All His works praise Him and give Him thanks, while His saints bless Him. The beauty and grandeur of creation praise Him by giving evidence of His power and parental love. Its order and harmony and beauty reveal His wisdom and power, and its wonders call forth love and gratitude toward Him. The grandeur of nature leads the heart to recognize His marvelous works and to feel humbled before His greatness and majesty.
The saints bless Him by speaking of the glory of His kingdom and talking of His power, to make His mighty acts known to men, for His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and His dominion endures throughout all generations. Because His greatness is unsearchable, this praising and blessing means one generation praising His works to another and declaring His mighty acts, speaking of the glorious honor of His majesty and His wondrous works, abundantly uttering the memory of His great goodness and singing of His righteousness, so that all flesh blesses His holy name forever and ever. It calls His people to praise Him and bless Him by awakening to a full awareness of His mercies and unbounded goodness. It calls all His creatures to worship before Him, and calls His people to be united in doing His will and seeking Him wholeheartedly.
It will be fulfilled when the controversy between good and evil is fully revealed and every question of truth and error is made plain, so that the whole universe will see that His dealings were wise and just and good and were conducted for the eternal good of His people and of all the worlds He has created, and that His law safeguards the happiness of all created beings, and loyal and rebellious beings alike will acknowledge His justice and declare His ways just and true. At that final settlement Satan's rule set against His government will be fully exposed and Satan's own works will condemn him, while His wisdom and justice and goodness will stand fully vindicated. The history of sin will stand forever as witness that the happiness of all created beings is bound up with the existence of His law.
