The Lord is righteous in every course He takes, and holy and pure in every work He performs. His judgments are altogether pure, while human conclusions formed apart from Him are unsound in His sight. That righteous and holy character was displayed in the compassionate and patient effort to draw Lucifer and his sympathizers back from ruin. In dealing with Lucifer, the justice of the divine statutes and the righteousness of the divine ways were made manifest. So clear was that demonstration that Lucifer himself recognized he was wrong and should have acknowledged before heaven the wisdom and authority of God.
Such righteousness calls for endless praise, for His greatness is unsearchable and greatly to be praised. His mighty and awesome deeds are to be declared from one generation to another, and the memory of His great goodness is to be abundantly uttered in song concerning His right character. All His works praise Him, and His saints bless Him by speaking of the glory and power of His kingdom. They make known to men His mighty acts and glorious majesty, for His kingdom is everlasting and His rule endures through all generations. Thus every mouth is to speak His praise, and all flesh is to bless His holy name forever and ever.
