Psalms 149:7

To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

Psalm 149:6-9 sets forth the judgment appointed for the saints to carry out as the written judgment. That honor belongs to them, to bind and judge and to execute what is written. When God's voice is heard the saints are mighty, yet they do not then carry out that execution.

First the living are changed, the sleeping saints are raised, and all are brought into the city. There they sit with Jesus through the thousand years and judge the wicked dead. In that work the books recording the deeds of the wicked dead are opened and compared with the Bible, and the saints determine what each one is to receive. Only afterward is that sentence executed.
