Levite Blows the Shofar at the New Moonby emmanuel_higgins

Psalms 150:3

Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

Music, both vocal and instrumental, is a means of praising God in worship, to be offered to Him in glorious harmony as an acceptable offering. The trumpet, psaltery, and harp named in the call to praise, together with the harp and cymbal used in ancient worship, show that instrumental music is fitting for praise, so its use in worship is not objectionable. Singing and instrumental music therefore belong in present religious services and evangelistic work, where the talent of singing and music should be brought in because it will add to the interest.

Instruments used in song are to be skilfully handled and their use carefully conducted as part of worship. When practicable, voices and instruments are to blend together in glorious harmony as an offering to God. Praise in song and music is to be given with heart and soul and voice, with beauty and feeling and pathos and power, magnifying His name before the world. Sung praise joined with instrumental music should involve the whole congregation whenever possible, joining instrumental music with praise sung by the congregation, and not be left to only a few singers.
