As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
As for God, His way is perfect, without flaw or error in its purpose and working. His word has been tried, tested and proved trustworthy and reliable. He is a buckler, a shield of protection, to all, to everyone, who put their trust in Him.
The setting around the verse shows God strengthening and guiding those who keep His ways and rely upon Him. For one who feels overlooked, the verse calls for ceasing to complain against God. It calls instead for trusting Him rather than seeking recognition for self or exalting self.
