It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
It is God Himself who supplies strength and makes the way perfect and complete. Amid opposition, the power to move forward and to stand secure does not come from self but from Him. He gives that strength to His people so they can rise above discouragement brought on by disloyal and confusing influences.
In work and ministry this means relying on God for strength and giving Him, not self, the credit for what is accomplished. It calls for humility instead of striving to be first. It refuses to take glory for personal abilities.
