Psalms 20:3

Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.

Psalm 20:3 belongs to a prayer asking for God's help and favor in a time of trouble. The psalm around it carries precious promises and warnings intended to awaken God's people to their spiritual condition. That awakening confronts the danger of indifference to eternal welfare. It presses the need to take God seriously and to seek His favor. The same prayer gives strength to stand firm under trial, as when its words were used to encourage Luther to stand firm as he faced the Diet at Worms.
