Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
Thine hand and right hand will reach and expose all enemies and all who hate, so that none can escape or hide or remain. This finding out is the work of Christ in the day of judgment, the day of the Lord when judgment is made known, for attention has not slept through wickedness. To be found out is to be confronted and brought to account and punished, and all who oppose will be found and dealt with, including those who turn against others for following their duty.
No sinner escapes that accountability by evading human civil law. As with the Jews under their civil government and with people under civil powers now, evasion of earthly penalty does not remove guilt before God, for crimes and motives and every secret thing that evade human courts will be brought up in the future judgment. With the following verse the passage teaches the destruction of the wicked, whose wrath consumes them, exposing them to anger like a fiery oven, with their fruit and offspring wiped out from the earth and from among men and the proud and evildoers burned up as stubble, root and branch.
That punishment comes at the great burning day when the earth becomes the lake of fire prepared for the devil and his angels. It happens when the righteous are called to take possession of the kingdom, because the earth was not made for wickedness and there will be room in it only for the righteous to dwell. Since the wicked will not accord with the divine purpose and there is no place in the universe for them to remain, they must leave the world by that fire and be brought into a condition as though they had never existed. Forgiveness is freely offered to those who meet its conditions, but mercy is not safe to treat lightly; judgment will fall on the wicked, and when their hopes and possessions are taken away they will have to acknowledge that the judgment is just.
