Psalms 25:12

What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

The question identifies the one who reverently fears the Lord as the one whom He Himself will teach in the way that He shall choose. That promised instruction belongs together with what follows it, that his soul shall dwell at ease in well-being, that his seed shall inherit the earth, and that he shall share in the secret and covenant of the Lord.

The twenty-fifth psalm is not to be read hastily and skimmed over but to be examined thoroughly, searched as a miner digs for precious ore hidden in the earth, by those who would be Christians in every sense of the word and bear a powerful testimony for the truth. For those in positions of trust and responsibility this means the need for a renewed conversion. So converted, they are to guard God's sacred principles unwaveringly without turning aside. The matter is urgent because Satan is determined to demolish the defenses and fortifications of truth, and those professing Christianity must not support or strengthen his science and methods.
