Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
The psalm reveals the greatness of God and calls for taking a stand under the rule of Christ. Keeping the eyes continually toward the Lord delivers His followers from Satan's net, because Satan is determined to break down the fortifications of truth. That continual looking means being a Christian in every sense of the word. It means digging deep in God's Word rather than skimming the surface, experiencing new conversion, and bearing a powerful witness for the truth. It means giving no aid to Satan's science and never turning aside from guarding sacred principles.
Those working on Satan's side do not know what a fearful loss they are incurring. At the last great day those who have given themselves to anarchy and war and strife will see how many souls have been lost. That loss of souls will be seen as the result of their failure to take their stand under the rule of Christ.
