Psalms 26:11

But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.

But as for me marks a deliberate personal resolve to walk in integrity, joined at once to a prayer to be redeemed and to be dealt with in mercy. It stands among psalms whose chief burden is the sorrows and afflictions of the Hebrew captives. Those psalms join that portrayal of suffering with encouragement and assurance of divine help. They point forward to final deliverance from persecutors, and in this setting the psalm expresses genuine Christian experience.
