LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.
Love for God is expressed as love for the habitation of His house, the sacred place where His honor dwells. That house is sacred and dear to His loyal children as the place where He meets with and blesses His people. Such love gives God first place by putting the needs and honor of His house before personal pleasure and self-interest. It therefore leads to sacrifice to provide a house that can serve as that meeting and blessing place. It is also shown in willing sacrifice to free the house of worship from debt, so that when the debt is paid the house can be rededicated to God with thanksgiving.
