Psalms 27:9
Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
Psalm 27:9 is a prayer for God alone to bring help in seasons of sadness and discouragement. It belongs to times when a person's position and work cannot be understood, when no one else can appreciate the feelings involved or give the needed help. It pleads for Him to let His light shine around rather than turning His face away. It mourns for the light of His countenance and reaches faintly toward His salvation.
