David Casts Off Sackcloth and Dances for Joyby emmanuel_higgins

Psalms 30:11

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

God turns mourning into dancing joy for the one who grieves. He takes off the sackcloth that pictures grief and its outward signs of sorrow. In its place He clothes the person with gladness as with a garment. That exchange moves the heart to thankful praise that refuses to fall silent.
